Timebanking Griffith is a new way of thinking about volunteering.

Timebanking aims to connect, strengthen & increase resilience in our community by sharing skills, facilitating acts of kindness and good will & encouraging respect for others.

Timebanking is being auspiced locally by Griffith City Council on behalf of NSW Volunteering, & is a concept specifically designed to be owned, enjoyed & cultivated by all who value volunteering in our region.

It’s as simple as give an hour, receive an hour: by giving one hour of volunteering to another member, you earn one hour of time credits which can be used to receive services that are of personal value. Things such as dog walking, gardening, language tuition, travel advice, design ideas or sharing a member’s knowledge of using a computer. You're only limited by your imagination!

Organisations are equally encouraged to join, being a lovely way of rewarding volunteers - and as a great place to advertise for assistance.

Everyone can be part of Timebanking in Griffith, as we all have something to give, something we need . . . or know of someone who would appreciate a helping hand.

For more information or assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our Timebanking team at Griffith City Council on 02 6962 8100 or email peta.dummett@griffith.nsw.gov.au
